I'm really in love with this vintage jumpsuit I got at Afterlife Boutique in SF. I think normally this supposed to fit like capris, but since I'm so small they fit like full-on pants--which I like better anyway! I paired it with some fun jewelry, Sam Edelman wedges (from Marshall's), and an Aldo clutch I got at Goodwill for $1. Goodwill steals hollaaaaa!!

At the time we took these pics we didn't realize we were waiting in line to get into the super-V.I.P. room where Jean Paul Gaultier was hanging out with his friends and major museum patrons.
Although it was tough to get in, we managed convince security to let us go party in the V.I.P area. The moment we walked in we saw Jean Paul Gaultier sitting to the right at the first booth. Dita Von Teese was hanging out too!

After Jean Paul Gaultier and Dita Von Teese left we got more drinks before seeing our way around the V.I.P room some more.
People were dressed so creatively. The fashion was all so fun.
There were models everywhere! I loved all their clothes.
After we left the V.I.P. room we walked past the catwalk to go check out the actual exhibit.

Here is the entrance to the exhibit. No words can accurately describe the photos from the actual exhibit. I actually was already so overly-stimulated that I couldn't really focus on the details the way I usually do. Before my spring break ends I want to go back during the week when its not very busy just so I can take a good few hours to fully appreciate it. Basically if you're in SF at any point between now and August 19th (my birthday!) you need to go see this exhibit.
This is the first room you walk into at the start of the exhibit. There were mannequins with faces projected onto them. These projections would move, like blink and whatnot. It really made them more intriguing and lifelike.

After the exhibit we went back up to the party. We saw that someone brought their furry friend along!
The dance floor got a little crazy at the end of the night. There was this raunchy marching band that had a bunch of half naked, multi-nippled humans running around.

Here are photos of my favorite outfit I wore this weekend, all taken by my dear friend Emily. I have pretty much been living in this sweater since Christmas.
I have been literally in love with the Marc Jacobs Large Dot tights ever since they first appeared on the runway months ago. In August my prayers (and birthday wishes) were finally granted and I scored a pair of these amazing tights. I couldn't think of a better place to show them off than on Maiden Lane in San Francisco.

For those who are not familiar with San Francisco, Maiden Lane is a chic little street in the heart of downtown. It is home to some of the most coveted shops, like Chanel and Prada, but it is extra special to me because it features the only commercial Frank Lloyd Wright building in San Francisco. This building is the Xandu Gallery featuring art from all over the world.
As I have previously mentioned, I am obsessed with modern and contemporary architecture, and I gain a lot of my of my style inspiration from them. Being in this building both affirmed and renewed that inspiration.
The ramp heading up towards the top floor is so circularly oriented, so that you can easily look around at the entire building. Your eyes are not drawn simply to one aspect inside, but rather everything is created to pique your curiosity. This embellishment and attention to detail is something I try to achieve in every outfit I create as well.
I especially love the design of the ceiling, and it even went well with my polka-dotted outfit!
I really couldn't resist the urge to put polka dots on top of polka dots. It just felt so fun.
So overall the Xandu Gallery was spectacular, and you must check it out if you're ever in the Bay Area. It was free to visit too, which definitely cannot be said for most Frank Lloyd Wright buildings. I am also glad I have finally gotten a chance to showcase these amazing tights!
