Gucci Gucci Gucci

This weekend Gucci will be celebrating its 90th birthday in Florence. To kick off the celebration, Gucci presented its Spring 2012 ready-to-wear line in Milan this week. I love the ultra-tailored androgyny and the early-modern architectural lines of each piece. I am such a modern and contemporary architecture nerd that its actually a little embarrassing, so the lines that Frida Giannini creates in every look are incredibly inspiring. The colors, especially the gold, exude a sense of opulence obviously paralleled by the styles in the 1920s. The whole collection is cool, sexy, and reminiscent of Gucci's roots.

Street Style: London Fashion Week

One of my all-time favorite part about the various fashion weeks around the world is the street-style you get to see surrounding the shows. Harper's Bazaar put together a lovely slideshow of what people were seen wearing to London's fashion week, which is currently going on. Here are a few of my faves:

Blogger Nadia Sawar in a trendy burgundy jumpsuit.

Vogue's own Anna Dello Russo in Prada's gorgeous fish scales.

And of course, the Queen of Style, Rachel Zoe looking fab in this fur cuffed coat.

Enjoying It All

Late summer in Northern California is absolutely amazing. Here are some photos from the walk I went on today:

I recently rediscovered this little purse when I was going through toys from my childhood. I've owned this purse since I was 4.

I am pretty much in denial of summer ending.

Guess Who's Back?

So I am back in Santa Cruz and I have been extremely busy with my new apartment. Pics will be coming soon, once I have finished decorating! Yesterday, I took some time away from unpacking and whatnot to take photos of what I am wearing.

Since Santa Cruz is so relaxed I have ditched the glam heels for a bit, and I am back to comfy sandals. My feet have been thanking me!

I also still can't get enough of jeggings. I know their popularity kind of faded after last spring/summer, but they are honestly so much comfier than real jeans, and no one even knows you're not wearing real denim. These floral jeggings are perfect for a sunny day. I love them!

Back to School (Almost)

For those who do not know me personally, I go to school in the funky little beach town of Santa Cruz, California. It is only 80 miles south of San Francisco, but it is seriously a completely different world--especially when it comes to style! I move back down for my senior year tomorrow. This outfit is an homage to my home on the San Francisco Peninsula and the way this area inspires my personal sense of style.

Bob Dylan and Some 7 inch Clogs

I have been wanting to share these shoes online for awhile, but never found the chance to put them in an outfit. I admit "finding a chance" was more about working up the courage to actually go anywhere in these shoes. They're fab, but hard to walk in since they have no back.
