Kooky Chic Does Fall Preppy

I have been planning to go see the Picasso exhibit at the De Young museum since it first arrived in June, but I had never found the time. When I realized it was leaving San Francisco on October 10th, I knew I couldn't put it off any longer. The exhibit was vast and inspiring, and if you are in the Bay Area you should without a doubt try to catch this collection before it goes back to Paris.

Since the weather was unusually spectacular all over the city, I was excited to get some photos of my outfit around Golden Gate Park. I decided to wear a few new pieces I recently got this past week. The first is an orange sweater that my mother found while we were shopping at a chic little consignment store in downtown Santa Cruz. I love the ruffles and the color is perfect for fall.

My next favorite new item is this pair of snake print oxford mini wedges that I snagged (on sale!) at Urban Outfitters. They are so fun and super trendy. I am literally obsessed.

I think one of the most integral elements to what I wear is the mix between old and new. Much like Picasso, I never fully dedicate myself to one particular style. I feel that doing this allows for a wardrobe that is lasting and transcends time.

This outfit:
Sweater: J. Crew (bought at Twist, Santa Cruz)
Shoes: Deena & Ozzy
Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs
